Between the two Nature Parks Fanes-Senes-Prags and Puez-Geisler the Abteital is a place full of natural spirit and legends. Several villages form the community. The most famous among them may be Corvara and San Cassiano. Especially hiking tours and climbings show the quiet variety of the landscape, plants and animals. The advertant hiker meets marmots and chamois, enzian and, of course the white star of the mountains, the "Edelweiß".
