On the way into the Pustertal to the world famous "Three Peaks" (Drei Zinnen) you also pass the turnoff to Kiens. Why the big resorts once should be forgotten at this place is clear: Kien is in the midst of a green countryside. Just as fast as you can immerse yourself in the landscape without having to go far, just as quickly you can reach the urban centers of the region. On the South Tyrolean Way of St. James ("Jakobsweg") you find quietness and contemplation. The third station of the "Jakobsweg" leads the pilgrims to the "corn mother" who is asked by the farmers of the Pustertal every year for a good harvest.
