Located in a side valley of the mostly Ladin-speaking Val Badia San Vigilio is famous for its landscape, the Giro d'Italia, a wide range of sporting activities and a rich cultural program that you should not miss. The Ladin Museum at Schloss Thurn for example, provides an insights into the history of Ladinen and the monument of the freedom fighter Catharina Lanz recalls the time, in which was fought against Napoleon's troops. An important sight for all those who like the nature is the Natural Park House, because here you can find a lot of intresting facts about the flora and fauna of the Dolomites.
